Message that dad posted on Facebook on Dec 29th 2017:
“Natalie Saumure and I are proud to announce that our son Vincent Henri Saumure was born on December 26th just before noon. He weighed 6 lbs 7 oz and measured 49 cm. However it hasn't been an easy week for us. We were at the hospital on Christmas Eve and returned on Christmas day when they admitted us. On Boxing Day, they decided to go with a C section. Once born, there were complications with his lungs and had him on breathing machines to help. Seeing him full of wires and a breathing machine was not easy. That night he was transferred to CHEO, and we had to see our baby leave since we had to stay at Monfort for Nat's care. It wasn't easy to see him go, however we knew he would be in good hands. I got to visit him alone on Wednesday (December 27) , which was hard on Nat since they wouldn't release her yet. On Thursday (December 28th) afternoon Nat was released from Monfort and we went straight to CHEO to see our son. He was still on the machines, however they were trying to slowly ween him off of them, which may take a few days. At the time of this message he is still at CHEO however we are told he is doing well”
